Requesting Member: Lisa Gargano (RI)
1. Information Request: What clinic scheduling/administration system(s) did you use to
support COVID-19 mass vaccination?
2. Is your system home-grown or available through a commercial vendor?
3. On a scale of one to five (one being “we can’t wait to get rid of it” and five being “it’s the
best system we’ve ever implemented”), how would you rate your experience using the
system(s) during your COVID-19 mass vaccination response?
4. Do you plan to integrate the system(s) into ongoing vaccination and/or other types of
emergency operations?
5. Would you be willing to join a call to discuss your experience?
1. Washington State implemented PrepMod, and off the shelf solution from the Multi-State Partnership for Prevention
based in Maryland- https://multistatep4p.com/
2. Commercial Vendor
3. 3.5 – 4 – the system has met all of our expectations for the most part, but there are areas for improvement- primarily
because they underestimated the number of system users / customers in their roll of the system.
4. Yes, we plan to expand the use of PrepMod to support nonCOVID events, including back to school childhood vaccinations.
5. Sure- reach out as needed.
Wyoming implemented PrepMod in the Spring and some but not all Public Health Nursing offices used the system for scheduling. Other facilities used other systems or forms
for scheduling but nothing “centralized”.
The PrepMod system is pretty good, I don’t know that I would give it a 5
but maybe a 3.8-4.2 😉
I do foresee them using the system for back to school clinics and other larger events for easy scheduling and documentation.
