As Health Equity Associate, contracted as a temp through Careers in Nonprofits, Rachel provides communications and administrative support for the CDC’s Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program.
Before AIM, she conducted research on ethnic disparities in cognitive testing and dementia/Alzheimer’s prognosis in New York City. Rachel graduated from New York University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Music. She found an interest in health equity, social determinants of health, and community-based outreach and continues to work as a volunteer researcher for UMiami’s Center for Cognitive Neuroscience and Aging.
