The purpose of the AIM Promising Practice Webinar series is to address innovative, promising or best practices for increasing immunization rates. The educational webinars are part of AIM’s Leadership Institute whose mission is to promote effective immunization program management through collaboration, education and creativity to assure program compliance and increase and sustain high immunization coverage throughout the lifespan.
As part of our mission, AIM works to support the professional development of program managers with several learning opportunities a year. To see additional trainings and webinars, visit the AIM resource library.
During this webinar, Pfizer gave an overview of its free reminder/recall (RR) program, the Vaccine Adherence in Kids (VAKs) program, which offers multiple reminder recall components, including text messaging, phone calls, and direct mail communications to parents to encourage well visit attendance. Louisiana Program Manager Stacy Hall and Louisiana IIS Manager Quan Le shared their VAKs experience and reviewed evaluation results of a separate RR adolescent postcard campaign. AIM also revealed new downloadable RR postcard templates.

On November 5, 2019, AIM partnered with Sanofi Pasteur to host a webinar reviewing how the changing healthcare landscape impacts providers’ quality improvement (QI) efforts and how these changes can help immunization programs increase immunization goals rates, improve IIS participation, and increase VFC participation.
Presenters Dr. Sharon Humiston (Children’s Mercy), Kevin Farrell (Sanofi Pasteur), and Kristina Berte (Sanofi Pasteur) provided QI insight and offered an example from Texas Children’s Hospital.
This webinar was part of Sanofi Pasteur’s benefits as a platinum member of AIM’s Corporate Alliance Program. This event was for educational purposes only and did not include brand-specific information.
