Wisconsin BigShots Awards

To help raise awareness around National Infant Immunization Week, and to encourage providers to ensure that the data they submit to the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) is accurate and timely, the immunization program created the “Wisconsin BigShots Awards” to recognize VFC practices that achieved 90% or higher for the childhood series.  The IP analyzed 2016 data from the WIR for all VFC providers, identified the outstanding providers, and conducted various recognition activities for them. In addition to identifying high performing practices, the snapshot analysis also allows the program to compare progress within the VFC program (at the provider and program level) from year to year.
