Hurricane Donation

Collection for AIM Members Impacted by Hurricanes

AIM is extending the donation period for program managers impacted by hurricanes to Friday, October 6 due to the recent devastation of Hurricane Maria. Thank you to those who have donated already. AIM is providing an opportunity for AIM members to donate to fellow members who have been personally impacted by hurricanes. We are still awaiting word from Dr. Angel Rivera about his status and that of his program in Puerto Rico. CDC has spoken with Leone Jackson in the Virgin Islands and she is okay but at least one of her employees has lost her home and has young children. Houston program manager Omar Salgado reported to us that his home survived but many homes in his neighborhood were ruined by flood water. He would like funds collected by AIM to go to others. Bob Griffin reports that all immunization program staff in Florida are safe and returned to work. So, It appears that we will be sending any funds collected to Leone and the Virgin Island program and Dr. Rivera and the Puerto Rico program. We will let you know what the funds will be used for but any support provided will go directly to help those people in the immunization program who need it, either through a gift card or direct payment. If you would like to contribute to fellow AIM members and their rebuilding efforts, please click on the DONATE button before October 6. Thank you for your contributions, thoughts and prayers for your fellow AIM members.

• Omar Salagado (Houston)
• Leone Jackson (Virgin Islands)
