Pneumonia and Influenza Death Rate Reduction among Native Americans in New Mexico

The New Mexico American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) population had a much higher death rate from pneumonia and influenza than all the other New Mexico racial/ethnic groups and more than two times higher than the death rate of New Mexico as a whole and the US.  The immunization program began implementing various activities to address this need.
