Activities & Awards

AIM sponsors and facilitates activities to further the mission and goals of the organization:

  • to influence sound national immunization policy development;
  • to foster effective partnerships;
  • to improve immunization program management; and
  • to enhance communication among members and partners.

AIM participates in a cooperative agreement with the National Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agreement supports AIM activities and provides the foundation for strong federal, state and local collaboration.

    • This award, in memory of former AIM chair, National Immunization Program Deputy Director, and California Immunization Program Manager Dr. Natalie J. Smith, honors an outstanding program manager. It is given annually at the National Immunization Conference.
    • The AIM Mentor Program pairs experienced immunization program managers with new program managers to help new managers overcome challenges and achieve success.
  • General Membership Calls
    • Monthly AIM conference calls feature discussion of hot topics and interaction with staff and leadership of the National Immunization Program.
  • Working Groups, Coalitions and National Meetings
    • AIM collaborates with other national associations and advocacy groups to support immunization.
